First Tooth!

Brooke's first tooth cut through today! I wish I could get a picture of it, but she does not like to show me, plus you can hardly see it anyway. It is so sharp and makes me nervous because she likes to chomp, but at least that 4-5 months of teething finally paid off. One down, thirty-something to go...

Good News/ Bad News

The good news is that I finally got my ATT (authorization to test) today... that means I have everything in and now all I need to do is take the NCLEX! I scheduled it for Valentine's Day... wish me luck! Now I can finally get everything rolling...

The bad news is that Andrew had to leave to go to Park City tonight to help his brother out for a WHOLE WEEK. We have never been apart for that long in our 3 1/2 years of marriage, but he needs to go make us some money so we can pay the bills. I am not looking forward to being a single mom for a week, but I think it will help me realize just how much he really helps us out. He is such a great husband and daddy.

Here are some new pics since all of the others are incredibly out-dated.

New Job!

So, I guess it's "unofficially official" and I will start working as soon as my interim permit posts! I'm a little nervous and excited and frustrated all in one, I'm just hoping that night shifts don't mess up my hormones and put us back into another infertility mess because I'd eventually like to be a mommy of two. I guess I have to take advantage of all the time I have at home with Brooke now before February when I'll be very busy, but one of the reasons I chose nursing in the first place (other than making up my mind when I was 5) is so that I can spend more days at home than I do at work.

Our New Home

So we moved to Las Vegas at the end of December to start our "real life". To be quite honest, I kind of miss being a college student. We love our new home and we are so excited to visit all of the fun places around us, but so far that's just not happening because we can't get jobs! So here we are, still broke. I do have an interview tomorrow for a "new grad RN position", which is the only thing they will hire you to here. It's med-surg nights with a minimum one year full time commitment. There's no getting around it. If you can't do that, you can't get a job. My life plan is starting to look farther and farther away. I really wanted to work part-time so that I could spend more time being a mommy, but I know that I have to work this crazy schedule so we can survive! Let's just pray that I get the job that I really don't want...
